What to bring?
When you join
Captain Turner for a fishing charter all your need to bring is whatever you want
to eat or drink, sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, comfortable clothing, a hat,
and a camera.
(Plenty of water in the summer days, glasses will help you see in the water.
Even if it is a warm day, the sea breeze and water can make you cold, also extra
clothing can also protect you from the sun, because sunburns are no fun.)
Where do we meet?
The adventure will
begin at the Regatta Point Boat Ramp, which is located at 8th Avenue West and
Riverside Drive in Palmetto, unless alternative arrangements are made ahead of
time. I can pick you up at any location on the water that is not to far
out of the way.
What is included?
We provide all of
the fishing tackle you will need, (you may bring your favorite rod and reel).
Our tackle is all top of the line: For inshore light tackle fishing we use
Shimano 4000's on an 8 foot St. Croix rods. For Tarpon Fishing we
use Shimano 6500 Baitrunners on Tsunami rods. For heavy tackle we use 4/0
Penn Senators on Penn Power Sticks. A cooler full of ice will be available
for you to put your food and drinks in. There is no need to have a Fishing
license because it will be provided for you. The boat is US Coast Guard
inspected and has all the necessary safety equipment so you can fish with peace
of mind. Captain Mike is licensed by the USCG and has all the necessary
insurance.
